Why Bikeables?

Bikeables creates a source of recreation, entertainment and socialisation to add meaning and richness to the lives of the elderly and mobility impaired. Immersive tours of Bournemouth, from Bournemouth Pier to Sandbanks Beach.

We are committed to providing accessible and responsible local transport services for people who want to experience life outside their house, and who care about having a less polluted town. Actively contributing to citizen-friendly neighbourhood development; we move people together.

Bikeables is flexible. Be able to rent bikes with or without a driver – whichever way you want to explore, it’s all your choice. Connection and collaboration with BCP – pre-established routes in accordance with recommendations and regulations.

Who we serve

Elderly and mobility-impaired people may be limited in entertainment and touristic options through a lack of accessibility; this restriction can cause social isolation, inactivity, loneliness and depression.

In over-50’s, the incidence of loneliness increased by a half from 2017, and is set to reach 2 million by 2025. 77% of disabled people aged 18-34 feel the same way.
